Are you an extremist?

This isn't a test, but I can probably give you some clue to your answer.

I happen to have read a while back, from a Barna study, that only 4% of Evangelical Christians have a true Biblical world view. Many today would call these select few extremists. Seems hard to believe there are so few, but if you look around it is hard to come up with more than a handful of people you personally know who are living their life for Christ to the extreme.

Today I ran across a survey that showed only 4% of Americans have an extremely liberal mindset in political terms. They would probably be considered extremists. Now, don't get all excited, I am not judging political practices and persuasions, just stating a survey's conclusion. This is to make a point, so please be patient.

What do these folks have in common? I know what it is, because I can see it in their eyes. Passion for the cause, a desire to live out their convictions daily and if neccessary to pay any price to ensure their life stands as an exemplary model of their particular view.

I understand, somewhat, and have observed both of these groups of 4% 'ers. My big question is, what drives the other 92% of our country? Man, that seems like a whole bunch of folks out there that need to take a stand and burn some energy in making a difference in their world.

Look, you get one life. At the end of it, if you are in the 92% group, you pulled into the garage of "forever" with gas still in your tank. My desire would be to coast across the finish line as fast as I could go on an empty tank, having spent all God had blessed me with to make a difference in the world around me. Having lived the life of an extremist.

Are you an extremist???? "LIVE BIG"-----Take a chance..............find a cause, change someone's life today!

In Christ,
